- Estimated claimed range of 474km
Volvo India is set to launch its most compact electric SUV, the EX30 in the country. Ahead of its official debut, a fully camouflaged EX30 has now been spied testing on Indian roads. This confirms that the Swedish brand is preparing the SUV for local conditions, as it gears up for the launch.
The upcoming EX30 will be locally assembled at Volvo’s Hoskote facility near Bengaluru. Globally, the model is offered with multiple battery options, and the India-spec version is expected to get the 69kWh battery pack. This variant is claimed to deliver a WLTP-certified range of up to 474km.

Design-wise, the test mule retains the same silhouette as the international model. Signature styling cues like the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED headlamps, flushed door handles, and C-shaped LED tail lamps, are subtly visible. The blacked-out roof and aerodynamic alloy wheels add to its futuristic stance.
Inside, the EX30 is expected to feature a minimalist cabin layout with a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system, recycled materials throughout the cabin, and the latest generation of Volvo’s Google-based infotainment OS. Safety features are likely to include ADAS tech, multiple airbags, and a 360-degree camera system.

The EX30 will join Volvo’s all-electric lineup in India alongside the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge. Positioned as the brand’s most affordable EV, the EX30 is likely to be priced underRs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
More details pertaining to the variants, battery specs, and exact pricing, will be revealed during its launch next month.
