- Located near the IGI airport
Shortly after inaugurating its Mumbai experience centre, Tesla India is all set to expand its footprint in the country, with the second dealership nearing completion in Delhi’s Aerocity near the IGI airport, a photo shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows. From the looks of it, the facility should be operational by August.
Tesla currently retails the Model Y in India for a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 59.89 lakh, which is quite high, given that the crossover is a CBU. Available in two variants, viz. Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, the Model Y delivers a WLTP-claimed range of up to 622km, topping out at 201kmph. Other features include 19-inch crossflow alloys and an optional FSD (Full Self-Driving) kit for a premium of Rs. 6 lakh. Notably, every other interior and exterior colourway, barring the Stealth Grey exterior/All Black interior, commands a certain premium.
Tesla recently commenced nationwide bookings for the Model Y crossover through the official site. The strategic expansion looks like a good move, given its target audience. The addition of more touchpoints will enable a first-hand experience before the prospective buyer zeroes in on a purchase decision.
