BYD Cars
BYD India is a subsidiary of BYD that commenced its EV operations in the country in 2007 with the construction of a new electronics manufacturing plant. In 2013, BYD forayed into the electric vehicle market with its first pure electric bus, the BYD K9. Currently, BYD’s electric buses are operational in over ten cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kerala, Pune, and more.
In November 2021, BYD India launched the E6, an electric MPV for India’s B2B segment. The E6 is equipped with 71.7 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 415km.
