Volkswagen India has issued a recall for the Taigun and the Virtus to inspect a potential defect. A total of 961 units manufactured between 1 December, 2021, and 31 May, 2025, have been identified for this exercise.
As per the carmaker, the ongoing quality checks revealed two possible issues. First, the rear seat belt assembly on both the left and right sides may develop a crack in the metal frame. Second, there could be an incorrect part installed in the front and rear seat belts.

Meanwhile, Skoda India has also announced a recall for the Kushaq, Slavia, and the Kylaq for a similar concern. Owners of the affected Volkswagen models manufactured during the aforementioned period are advised to visit the nearest authorised service centre for a free-of-cost inspection and part replacement, if required.
