- Mahindra to expand lineup with newly homologated variants
- Larger 79kWh battery to be offered with new Pack Three Select trim
Mahindra is expanding its BE 6 electric SUV lineup by homologating two new variants - Pack Three B59 and Pack Three Select B79. The naming convention reflects the battery capacity, with B59 denoting a 59kWh pack and Select 79 a larger 79kWh unit. This move aims to offer buyers more flexibility in choosing a variant as per their performance and range requirements.

Earlier this month, Mahindra not only began deliveries of the Pack Two variants but also introduced new Pack Two versions with the larger 79kWh battery. This allowed customers to access the benefits of a bigger battery while still opting for a mid-level trim. The latest homologations indicate that the BE 6 lineup will continue to potentially attract a wider customer base.
Both new variants are positioned higher in the range. The Pack Three B59 will likely offer a feature-rich package for buyers who don’t necessarily need extended range, while the Pack Three Select 79 will cater to those looking for long-distance capability with top-end features.

As for performance, the 59kWh variants are powered by a 228bhp motor producing 380Nm of torque, delivering a claimed MIDC range of 557km. The 79kWh version ups the motor output to 282bhp while offering a MIDC-certified range of 683km.
